A San Jose Bay Area native, Joey has taught at various music schools throughout the Southern California area. He has extensive training in voice and choral conducting having received his music degree from Loyola Marymount University. After working in children’s piano and vocal pedagogy over the decade, Joey joined WePlay Music team in 2022 and teaches both group and private lessons. He is also an active member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California.

Joey and his style of teaching strives to bring out the best of any musician. He believes that no matter what stage you are in learning music, have fun and let it be enjoyable for you. And that life is too short to sing badly!
